Our Home - Bentonville and Northwest Arkansas
Campus in Context
NorthWest Arkansas Community College's flagship campus is located between downtown Bentonville and downtown Rogers, Arkansas. In most cases, athletes will exclusively use this campus for classes. The athletics office is also located on the Bentonville campus.
Bentonville itself is quickly growing but holds just 55,000 people. Meanwhile, three other neighboring cities combine to make up the Northwest Arkansas metropolitan area, which holds nearly 600,000 people.
NWA, as it is often abbreviated, holds the home bases of three Fortune 500 companies, including the world's largest retailer and the world's largest meat producing company. The area also features the nation's top-ranked farmer's market in downtown Fayetteville, which also contains the 35,000-student University of Arkansas.
NWA is serviced by Northwest Arkansas National Airport (XNA), which offers direct flights to over 25 destinations on six airlines. Professional sports include the Northwest Arkansas Naturals, a minor league baseball team in Springdale, and future professional soccer club Ozark United FC, which will play in a planned stadium in Rogers.
The state of Arkansas (ARK-in-saw) is located in the South Central region of the United States, bordering Texas and Oklahoma to the west, Missouri to the north, Louisiana to the south, and Tennessee and Mississippi to the east. Arkansas is the 33rd-most populous state and the 29th-largest by area.
