Bio

Brooke Brewer is the founding athletics director at NorthWest Arkansas Community College and has led the program since her hire in August 2023. 

In her still-young tenure, Brewer has overseen the introduction of six new sports, the hires of nationally respected head coaches Nick Marquez (women’s soccer) and Dean Johnson (men’s soccer), five NJCAA Region 2 Championships and two NJCAAE National Championships.

Brewer joined NWACC with 10 years of coaching and teaching experience in the state of Arkansas. Most recently, she coached three seasons of dance and one season of cheer while teaching at Bentonville West High School. 

Before moving to Northwest Arkansas in 2020, Brewer was a teacher, coach and program director for seven years with the Alma School District in Alma, Ark. 

After earning a Bachelor of Arts in Dance from Centenary College in her native Louisiana, Brewer moved to Magnolia, Ark. for her master’s degree in Secondary Education and Teaching at Southern Arkansas University. Brewer also holds an Education Specialist degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Arkansas State University. 

Alongside her duties in athletics, Brewer is the Executive Director of Institutional Branding for the college. 

She lives in Centerton with her husband and two children.
